ENDORSEMENTS
To Whom It May Concern:
I’m writing to strongly recommend Susan Bari, a licensed real estate agent with Prudential Douglas Elliman in New York. Susan helped me purchase a one bedroom coop on the Upper West Side in December of 2010 and served as a knowledgeable real estate expert, trusted advisor, interior designer and friend along the way.
Susan and I began our search in June of 2010. Susan asked all the right questions to understand my apartment wish list, must-haves, neighborhood interests and budget. She then explained the current market conditions, realistically set my expectations and laid out my options.
We looked at several units on the Upper West Side in my price range during the first weeks, none of which felt right. Until we opened the door at 145 W. 79th Street and I fell in love. The one bedroom coop was exactly what I was looking for – pre-war charm, small doorman building, good closet space, cheerful and a great view on my favorite block. While it was within my budget, I was concerned about the cost and down payment requirements, so we continued our search.
Although Susan patiently showed me many more apartments in different parts of the city over the next few months, none stood up to W. 79th St. Knowing I wouldn’t be happy anywhere else, Susan doggedly pursued the seller’s agent, offering creative solutions to both parties and negotiating continuously until we got the right price.
Susan coached me every step of the way, through multiple viewings with me and then my family, several rounds of negotiations, the coop board approval process and ultimately the settlement. Susan always had my best interests at heart and even helped me make decisions on refinishing the floors, paint colors and furniture placement.
I am very happy in my new home, and wouldn’t be here today without Susan’s ongoing support and real estate savvy.
Sincerely,
DEBRA F. FILTZER
